Tilman Pass Trek Itinerary

British explorer and climber when he explored the region in 1949. The Pass lies at the border between the districts of Rasuwa and Sindhupalchok, linking the Langtang Region with the Jugal Region. Tilman Pass is named after its first explorer and lies at the altitude of 5300 meters above sea level.
Tilman Pass is the closest pass from the Kathmandu valley. It is one of the most adventurous trekking routes in this region and can be accessed through the adventurous trails through Panchpokhari or Tembathang.
This area is famous for red pandas and snow leopards, along with the Himalayan attractions of Langtang Himal, Urken Mang, Dorje Lakpa, Naya Khang, Yala Peak, Ganesh Himal, Langshisa-Ri, Furba Ghechyu,
Jugal Yangri, Gyalzen peak etc.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu Airport and transfer to Hotel

Day 2: Orientation program with Guide/Staffs/ Day briefing at Department of Tourism /Equipment check/final preparation of trip.

Day 3 :Kathmandu- to Deurali The day is the start of the adventure. After breakfast, we depart towards Bhotang village(1800 meters) by local bus on an off-road express through Melamchi bazaar and Indrawati River. In about 6 to 7 hours we will reach Bhotang village, from where we will trek for an hour to reach Deurali, Overnight stay at a local hotel.
Bhotang is a very beautiful Tamang village, the lifestyle, culture and traditions of the Tamang community can be observed.
Day 04: Trek to Nosyampati (3700m), 6-7 hours.
Accommodation: Camp
Nosyampati is a beautiful location from where can see the Langtang and Jugal Mountain range.

Day 05: Nosyampati to Panchpokhari (4100)m Three hours trek.
Accommodation: Camp
Panchpokhari is situated at an elevation of about 4,100 m above sea level. It is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site in Nepal. Panchpokhari lies to the northeast of the Kathmandu valley.

Day 06: Acclimatization Day at Panchpokhari.
Accommodation- Camp

Day 07: Panchpokhari to Tinpokhari (3735m.) Trek 7 hours.
Accommodation: Camp

Day 08: Tinpokhari to High camp 4720m. Trek 4 hours.
Accommodation: Camping
Tinpokhari : Tinpokhari refers to the three beautiful ponds. We stay at a camp at the lap of Dorje Lakpa mountain. In the winter season, these ponds are completely frozen. It is a wonderful camping site as you get to relish the magnificent beauty of the lakes along with the views of the Himalayan chain that dominates the surrounding. Overnight at a tented camp in Tin Pokhari.

Day 09: Tinpohari to High camp 4700m.
Accommodation: Camp
This camp is in Moraine so the camp is not so easy.

Day 10: High camp to Tilman pass 5320m.
Accommodation: Camp
We leave the High camp at 3 am and reach the Tilman pass (5330m.) at 6 am. We will need full gear during this part of the expedition. We trek for 4 hours to reach High camp via Tilman Pass (5320m).
It will be both physically and mentally challenging climb as the footing is slippery and filled with unstable rocks. As you reach the top, breathing may get difficult due to the high altitude, as Tilman Pass is one of the highest points in this trek. From the top, you get spectacular views of the surrounding snowcapped mountains. Then, you descend from the other side passing through the ice and arrive at High camp.

Day 11:High camp to Langsishakharka (4000m.)
Accommodation: Camp -Beautiful camp side
We head steep towards Langsishakharka Camp. We ascend the rocky moraine of Langshisa Glacier. We are then surrounded by exquisite snowcapped mountains and the view is absolutely amazing.

Day 12: Langsishakharka to Langtang village (3535m), Easy walk (5 hours)
Accommodation: Hotel

Day 13: Langtang village to Lama Hotel, Easy walk (5 hours)
Accommodation: Hotel

Day 14: Lama Hotel to Syabrubeshi, Easy walk (5 hours walk)
Accommodation: Hotel

Day 15: Syabrubeshi to Kathmandu, 6 hours drive.
